In this field-based role, you will lead the commercial strategy and execution for our lung cancer portfolio across the Center-North territory, translating brand priorities into measurable results. You will uncover opportunities across the patient journey, remove barriers to optimal care, and ensure that the right patients receive the right medicine at the right time. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you will bring clarity, urgency and precision to a complex market.
This position is designed for impact from day one. Expect four days per week in the field building relationships and driving performance, and one day focused on planning, learning and project work. Your ownership of the territory will help shape care pathways and fuel launches that redefine standards of care.
Accountabilities- Sales Excellence and Territory Leadership: Achieve or exceed lung cancer portfolio targets by building and executing a territory plan aligned to brand and therapy-area priorities. Focus resources where they will create the greatest clinical and commercial impact and manage budgets for maximum return.- Insight-Driven Execution: Use sales, market and customer data to map the patient journey, quantify gaps and risks, and set clear priorities. Continuously adapt plans to changes in competition, guidelines and local treatment dynamics to sustain momentum.- Customer Engagement and Omnichannel Impact: Build trusted, long-term relationships with oncologists and wider care teams. Deliver relevant, personalized engagements across face-to-face, digital and omnichannel channels. Lead or support customer initiatives that address bottlenecks in diagnosis, testing and treatment, and feed insights into territory and cross-functional planning.- Oncology Knowledge and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain deep understanding of disease biology, treatment pathways, our medicines and the competitive landscape. Communicate approved scientific and product information clearly. Partner with Brand, Medical, Market Access and Diagnostics to align opportunities and execute launches and strategic initiatives with excellence.- Compliance and Professional Standards: Conduct all activities in line with AstraZeneca’s Code of Ethics, policies, local regulations and industry standards. Uphold integrity, transparency and professionalism in every interaction.- Immediate to Long-Term Impact: In your first 90 days, establish a sharp territory plan, map priority accounts and secure early wins. Over time, shape pathway adoption, enable successful indications and launches, and contribute to repeatable commercial excellence across the portfolio.
Essential Skills/Experience- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, healthcare, business or a related field.- Proven experience in pharmaceutical or specialty-care sales.- Demonstrated success in achieving sales and business objectives.- Strong communication, influencing, negotiation and presentation skills.- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management capabilities.- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions.- Ability to manage a complex territory independently and work effectively in a cross-functional environment.- Proficiency with CRM systems, digital tools and data-driven decision-making.
Desirable Skills/Experience- Previous oncology or specialty-care experience.- Understanding of cancer care pathways and treatment guidelines.- Experience launching new products or indications in a competitive market.- Experience in strategic account management.- Omnichannel customer-engagement experience.
